Perrin Family Foundation:
Youth Engagement Community Meeting

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Hosted by the National Conference for
Community and Justice (NCCJ), Windsor, CT
Our Keynote Speaker was Ms. Cheryl Hayes,
President & CEO, The Finance Project Washington D.C.

This foundation facilitated its third youth engagement community meeting to provide networking and sharing best practice opportunities for funded youth engagement groups, along with other invited guests. Ms. Hayes is a nationally recognized expert in helping youth engagement organizations with their financing and sustainability issues unique to the work that they do. Considering the current economic climate, the opportunity to learn from Ms. Hayes’ research will be timely and valuable. We also had a roundtable discussion to address issues adult mentors would like to share with their colleagues. A key issue we adrressed was the Youth Networking with Other Youth event which will be held in the spring. The date and time will be decided by the youth involved.
